Rovers MC Challenged Adult's Race '05
This is desert racing....er....uh....sort of.
The Adult Mini Challenge, something I lovingly refer to as the "Challenged Adult" race....sprung forth from
the tradition of having children's races on Saturdays. Those under 12 are not allowed to participate in the race on Sunday...our
races are 40-100 miles in length, and just not appropriate for new and young racers. So, many clubs have a children's race
on Saturdays in the spirit of family togetherness and preparing our younger racers for their big day when they can race with
the "Big Boys". A short course and everyone who participates gets a trophy or some sort of prize.
I beleive the Four Aces MC a couple years back started the first Adult Mini Challenge, just for something
fun to do following the children's race. This is a race where adults, mostly racers, swipe their kids' bikes and go race them.
Rules? There really aren't any.....elbows, a bit of nudge, nudge, wink, wink, roost, and general silliness
is expected, and encouraged.
